I've taken all the historical romance novel reviews from my blog Random Books, Reviewed and put them here. This blog is strictly for historical romance reviews, including historical erotic romance and historical romantic suspense. I have a strong preference for historical romances that were published in the 1970s through the early 1990s and will post any articles I can find, new or old, that have discussed those from that time period.
Sometimes it's very hard to determine if a book is romance or not, especially with the older "bodice rippers" that I prefer. A lot of them fit the criteria of romance (hero and heroine having conflict and having a happily ever after even if the reader doesn't feel there's much love between them) but the stories are so harsh that they don't seem like romance, even with the HEA. So if there's a happily ever after, I'll call it romance and post reviews for them on this site.
Brenda Joyce and Catherine Coulter are my favorite historical romance authors.
